How we write
Numbers come from readings, sentences come from numbers, and both carry a date and a source.
Sources
A fact about a provider is read on that provider's pages, with the URL and the reading date kept. Facts from third parties (aggregators, press, benchmarks) are attributed and never used to rank. When a provider's page and its documentation disagree, the pricing page wins and the disagreement is noted.
Estimates
Anything computed from specifications rather than measured, such as throughput per dollar or tokens per second, is labelled “estimated” where it appears and explained in the methodology. Estimates are replaced by measurements as those are published.
Dates
Every price shows when it was read. Every study chapter shows when its sources were read. Every event in the timeline shows the date of the change and the date we checked it. Nothing is presented as current without a time.
Providers
Providers may report an error through the corrections page; a verified error is fixed with a visible note. Providers cannot request the removal of a correct reading, a rank or a score, and we do not share drafts for approval.
What we never publish
- Invented reviews, testimonials or user counts.
- A ranking that mixes paid and unpaid rows.
- A recommendation without the numbers that justify it.
- A trend from a sample we would not trust ourselves.
