How we make money, and what it never buys
Short version: no provider pays to be listed or ranked, and some outbound links carry a commission.
Commissions
Some links to providers carry an affiliate commission when a visitor signs up. Today 9 of 262 listed providers have such a link; they are marked rel="sponsored" and a note appears next to the button. Commissions do not change a price, a rank, a score, a filter default or a sentence. Rankings are computed from the rules in the methodology; nobody can buy a position.
What is never sold
- Placement in any table, podium or index.
- A Trust Score point, a Value Score point, or a change to either formula.
- Removal of an unflattering reading that is correct.
- Editorial text, guides or market notes.
What we may sell later
Data access (API, bulk downloads), alerts and reports for teams, and clearly labelled advertising placements that never sit inside a ranking. None of this exists yet; when it does, this page changes first.
Where the numbers come from
Prices are read every night by our collector on each provider's own pricing page or API (158 providers today); the few providers it cannot read keep dated readings from our October 2026 market study. Every reading keeps its date and the page it came from, and the methodology lists every rule.
